This project was one of my first experiences working collaboratively on a design team, and also my first time diving into web design. I partnered with three classmates to refresh a website for a local organization that serves the community through both a food pantry and a thrift store. The client didn\u2019t want a full rebrand, but instead a website that felt fresh, functional, and easy to navigate, especially for their primary audience of senior citizens.<\/p>\n

One of my teammates, Ben, took the lead on the backend and mentored me in WordPress. His passion for web design was contagious, and thanks to his guidance, I developed a strong interest in it myself. This experience sparked a new creative path for me, web design has since become one of my favorite areas to explore.<\/p>\n

One of the client\u2019s main concerns was clearly communicating the hours of operation, which varied between the food pantry and thrift store. To address this, we designed a collapsible tag that appears across the site, showing today\u2019s hours<\/em> in a simple, accessible way. This solution keeps the site clean while ensuring crucial information is always visible and up to date.<\/p>\n
